Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an in-house Solicitor to work for Lewisham Homes Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO).
You will work closely with staff from the Housing Services Department, complementing the work of the Tenancy Staff and Senior Officers within the ALMO, who have a keen focus on tackling anti-social behaviour and nuisance issues on our estates, by using legal remedies.
You will also have a key role to play in monitoring the performance of an external panel of legal advisors that is being set up to support the work of the ALMO.
We are looking for a team player who has a solutions oriented approach within a role that allows the breadth and scope to be innovative, as you support Lewisham Homes on its journey to achieving two stars.
You should be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with either recent in-house Housing Law, Tenancy and ASB knowledge combined with recent case law. You should expect to provide some advocacy when necessary and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as good verbal, written and ICT skills are essential.
