Job Description:
Our Legal Services is changing. We have made dramatic improvement in the services we offer to clients and assumed our rightful place at the heart of the Council. We will shortly seek Lexcel accreditation.
Principal Lawyer (Procurement)
PO15: £60,186 - £63,951 p.a. (pay award pending)
Developing unique experience working on some of the most challenging issues facing Local Government, you will advise on the procurements and commercial relationships which support the delivery of services to residents in Hackney. Much of the work involves cutting-edge commercial strategy and policy. You will prepare complex contracts. You will work closely with senior stakeholders within and beyond the Council’s directorates. For this post, you will lead and manage a team of qualified lawyers and be part of the Division’s senior management team. You will have excellent management skills and the ability to contribute to the management of Legal Services as a whole.
